Villa Turquoise is located right on the beach in Matemwe, on the East coast of Zanzibar. The Villa is fully equipped and serviced and plenty of amenities are available, making Villa Turquoise the perfect holiday villa for families and friends looking for privacy and comfort away from the crowds. The house is built in East African style with a large Makhuti roof and is located in a large tropical garden with oriental flowers and fruits. The private pool in front of the house measures 5x10m and has a shallow end and wide stairs, ideal for children. In front of the pool there is a private beach connecting directly to the lagoon and the Indian Ocean. The Villa sleeps up to 14 persons. There are 4 large en-suite and air-conditioned bedrooms with king-size beds and one air conditioned suite with two king size beds and en-suite bathroom. All beds are covered with mosquito-nets. An extra bed and a cot with mosquito net is available. The beds all have special European imported mattresses and pillows for an optimal rest. Even for smaller groups all rooms will be accessible so guests can enjoy a different sunrise every morning. There are two kitchens of which one is open with a view on the lagoon and the Indian ocean and ideal for guests who love cooking. This kitchen has fantastic views and a large bar in front to enjoy evening drinks. The large living room is beautifully furnished and equipped. On the one side there is a lounge area with TV and DVD, a large sofa and lounge chairs allow you to relax and chill out with a view over the Ocean and the garden. On the other side there is a large dining table and a desk with computer. In between both is the open kitchen and a large bar. The house has 5 dining areas, one outside on the large wooden terrace in front of the house to enjoy a sunrise breakfast overlooking the private beach and the lagoon, one directly on the private beach (the ideal place for bbq's), one inside on the ground floor of the house and one outside next to the house in the garden. There is an additional large dining and lounge area on the first floor under the Makhuti roof with a 270 degrees view on the ocean and the jungle behind the house. Villa Turquoise is a full service holiday villa and the staff are there to make sure you can relax and enjoy your holidays. The staff speaks English and are trained to give you comfort and privacy. The cook is an excellent chef who can cook any dish you like, from local and traditional dishes to Asian and Western dishes. For the amateur cooks, he will gladly organize cooking lessons with local spices which Zanzibar is famous for. There are two maids who will do all the housekeeping for you: cleaning the house, do your laundry, dishwashing, setting and cleaning tables including table service, providing towels and changing bed linen, etc. We have a skipper who will take you for trips in and beyond the lagoon with the powerboat or sailing boat, our gardener takes care of the pool and garden, and our watchman will ensure your comfortable night rest. Our house manager will welcome you upon arrival and show you the house and all amenities, she will be available throughout your stay to assist with catering, shopping, excursions, local events, etc. We have a generator as a back-up for power failures which occasionally happen in Zanzibar. We can organize all kinds of excursions on the island (Joziani, Spice farms, Stone Town, ...) and on the mainland including safaris (Selous, Serengeti, Ngorongoro,...) and Kilimanjaro climbs.
